Kelas-Kelas Dalam GPRS

Perangkat GPRS terdiri dari 3 macam kelas berbeda yaitu:

Kelas A:
Gprs kelas A memiliki 2 transceiver sehingga dapat mengirim atau menerima data dan voice pada waktu bersamaan.Pengguna dapat melakukan call dan menerima data pada waktu bersamaan.

Kelas B:
Gprs kelas A memiliki 2 transceiver sehingga dapat mengirim atau menerima data dan voice tapi tidak waktu bersamaan.Bergantian antara menerima call dan data.

Kelas C:
Kelas ini hanya diperkenankan satu jenis koneksi saja.Misalnya gprs yang menggunakan PCMCIA card pada PC.

Kelas A lebih fleksibel untuk digunakan daripada kelas lainnya.
